"Felt rushed and not really heard"
Not gonna lie, I didn’t have the best experience. The provider seemed rushed and I felt like they weren’t really listening to what I was trying to explain. The appointments were short, and the advice I got felt kind of generic, like it didn’t really match what I was dealing with. I left feeling more confused than supported, so it just wasn’t worth it for me

"Literally didn’t help me"
I used Brightside for a couple of months and, i didn’t feel any better. The medication changes felt kind of random, and the check-ins were literally over so fast that I didn’t feel like there was much time to talk things through. I’m sure it works for some people, but for me, the treatment just didn’t really do much.

"I liked the idea of Brightside..."
I liked the idea of Brightside, and I was hopeful it would be a good fit for me.
But umm, the monthly cost ended up being more than I expected. Even with insurance, it still felt kind of confusing and not as affordable as I thought it would be, and the subscription adds up quickly when money is already stressful.
The people I dealt with were nice enough, but I ended up canceling because I just couldn’t keep paying that much every month.

"The pricing caught me off guard"
I signed up for Brightside because I thought I had a good idea of what it was going to cost, but once I got started, the billing felt a lot less clear than I expected.
I’m careful with money, so getting charged more than I planned was frustrating. I had to spend time clicking around and trying to figure out what was actually included versus what cost extra. Maybe it was listed somewhere, but it definitely wasn’t obvious to me.
Customer support did get back to me eventually, which I appreciated, but I still think the full pricing should be laid out much more clearly before you sign up. When something affects your budget, you really don’t want surprises

"the app itself is fine, but getting help..."
the app itself is fine, but getting help took way longer than i expected. i’d send a message and sometimes wait days for a reply. that’s frustrating when you’re already trying to deal with mental health stuff and just need some support.

"Not gonna lie, I didn’t feel like my..."
Not gonna lie, I didn’t feel like my information was being kept very private here. It just didn’t give me much confidence or peace of mind while using it

"Scheduling Was More Frustrating Than I Expected"
I signed up thinking it would be quick and easy, but scheduling ended up being the most annoying part for me. The appointment times I was shown just didn’t fit with my normal routine, and even when I came back later to check again, I still couldn’t find anything that worked well.
I also had to reschedule one visit, it felt like way more effort than it should have been. Since it’s an online service, I expected the whole scheduling process to be more convenient, but that really wasn’t my experience.

"Great therapist, app drives me a little nuts sometimes"
My therapist on Brightside has been really, really good. Like, I could cry from how nice it is to talk to someone who actually listens and remembers things I mentioned weeks ago. She gives me stuff to work on that feels realistic instead of some random generic advice, which I appreciate so much. The app itself is okay, but scheduling can be kind of annoying sometimes and makes me want to dramatically collapse on the floor. Still, overall, the therapy quality has been solid and I’m glad I tried it.

"Prescription took longer than expected"
My prescription wasn’t ready when they said it would be, and I ended up having to message them twice before getting anywhere. I still waited a few more days after that, which was frustrating. I just wish the timing and next steps had been explained more clearly from the start

"I’ve had a rough time with..."
I’ve had a rough time with both the app and the website. Logging in is harder than it should be, pages freeze randomly, and the app keeps crashing on me. I also wish the instructions were clearer, because half the time I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do next. It just feels messy and frustrating overall

"The provider match wasn’t quite right for me"
I wanted this to work, but the provider I was matched with just didn’t feel like the right fit. It was more of a mismatch in the little things, like what I was looking for and the kind of support they seemed best suited to offer. I also thought switching would be a bit smoother than it was. I can see how the service might be helpful for other people, but the matching part left me feeling disappointed

"Support felt like it was designed to go nowhere"
I had a billing issue and reached out to support thinking it would be a simple fix, but nope. Every reply felt like the same copy-paste message from some secret customer service bunker, answering everything except what I actually asked. And each response took days, which made it feel even more like they were trying to wear me down.

When someone finally gave me a real reply, they just told me to check the app, which I had already done about ten times. At that point I was convinced nobody was actually reading my messages, or maybe the whole system is built to make you give up. Either way, I cancelled.

"Apparently “help now” means waiting forever"
I signed up thinking I’d be able to talk to someone fairly soon, which I know, silly me for assuming. The appointment options were super limited, and the first available times were way too far out. Kind of hard to see the point when you need support now, not eventually. I kept checking back hoping something better would pop up, but mostly just wasted my time and still couldn’t find anything that worked

"Insurance coverage ended up being really confusing"
I was told my insurance would be accepted, so I figured everything was fine, but then I got a bill that made it seem like nothing was covered. Maybe I misunderstood something along the way, but I tried reaching out to support and just kept getting passed around without a clear answer. It turned into way more of a headache than I expected.

"Canceling took longer than I hoped"
I was able to cancel in the end, but the process took more time than I expected and the support replies were a little slow. It wasn’t a terrible experience, just one of those moments that reminded me how much a smooth cancellation process matters when you’re trying to wrap something up and move on.

"Medication management was a mess"
I never felt like my meds were actually getting sorted out properly. Every time I reached out, it felt like I was getting the same copy-paste support response instead of someone really looking into what was going on. Super frustrating.
